Clearly I’ve been slacking off, because I’ve yet to post my review to last year’s fantastic Street of Rage 4. And now Dotemu (along with developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games) have announced that DLC is already on the way!

Titled “Mr. X Nightmare”, the DLC will include new levels (presumably), new game modes, new moves for each character, new weapons to wield, brand new music, and—most importantly—we’ll finally get the chance to play as SOR4’s surprising fan-favorite new character: the badass riot cop, Estel Aguirre!

I mean, c’mon… How in the hell did they manage to make an appealing character who’s a cop in 2020? That’s super impressive. But yeah, Estel is undeniably cool, and I’m pumped that she’s soon be a selectable option.

Oh, and if that wasn’t enough good news to sell you on SOR4, the game is also on sale at the moment, 35% off on the Nintendo Switch eShop until April 11. So pick it up, and let’s start smashing some heads!
